My wife received an 'Interim Notice' (dated 18th May) from Scotcall last week which told her to contact them within 10 days - so we sent them a CCA request.

Today, we received back a letter saying that they had returned the debt to CApquest on 26th May and they returned our CCA request and £1 postal order.

As we 'contacted' them within 10 days, and sent the required £1 could this debt now be brought into dispute straight away? Scotcall have obviously dropped a hot potato and decided that Capquest should be dealing with this but, as Scotcall had sent us this Interim Notice, surely as the request was made and received within their timescale they are duty bound to proivde the information requested?

Any help please...?

It's common practice for DCAs to pass back accounts like 'hot potatoes' as you say :)

The CCA request has been made and snotcall should have told [email protected] this, it's not your duty to tell them unless they send you more begging letters or pass to another even stupider DCA :D
