I had a letter this morning from a company called Pace Forward saying they need to speak to me about a personal matter. On the bottom of the letter it says:

Pace Forward is a trading name of Tessera Credit Services. Anyone ever heard of them? and who they might act for.

According to the Information Commissioners Office entry they have a few names-

ROCKWELL DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY

BTMK SOLICITORS

PACE FORWARD

FENTON COOPER

They are also registered with the CSA.

I had one from them today aswell... very ambiguous letter... giving away nothing at all. It's just to intice you into calling them.

I'm going to reply that I have had severe diarrhoea and that my grunting has rendered my vocal chords useless for a practical phone conversation and, with that in mind, it would be best to converse in the dark arts (writing).

Best not to write or phone them at this stage. If they're asking you to call on a financial matter, it means they won't tell you what it's for until they're sure you're the correct person.

At the moment they're fishing for information. Best to ignore them unless they write and tell you exactly what the debt is for and how much. Then you can pop back here and find out how best to deal with them. :D

Don't make any contact whatsoever - even for a joke.

If they want to talk to you then they should state their business - or do the other thing.
