8 years on one of my old debts. They do visit some times though folks. Thought I best mention it in case someone reads this thread and thinks it never happens. Be mentally prepared for it. If they catch you by surprise they will have a distinct advantage over you. Just have your rehearsed speech ready and shut the door in their face after you deliver your Oscar performance. If they don't go ring PC Plod.

I have posted about this before but some guy started banging loudly on our door when I was home alone. At the time I had threatograms from every DCA in the world and I lay on the bedroom floor for about an hour, trembling. I found out later it was some bod from the council who had received a complaint from our neighbours about rubble in the back garden from our loft conversion:D

Haha - I still get a bit anxious if I come home and there is a strange car near the house. But so far not one DCA has arrived - in spite of a file full of letters saying they will.

PC Plod is even slower at visiting than DCA's. I reported the ****** neighbours for having a party 20 years ago. STILL waiting for him to call on them.

I suggest you ring again, as they may have forgotten. :D :D :D Sorry if my humour is too bad, early morning still.

  • 5 weeks later...

Had just about every DCA going sending me and my girlfriend letters saying they are going to visit us.

I'm sick of all the tea and cakes that go to waste, as none of them have ever showed up.

I just sent Moorcroft a bill for £35 today.

Told them that I would deduct it from the amount they claim

I owe them plus a £12 charge if they didn't send a cheque within 7 days.

(Moorcroft do so like to add £12 charges everytime they feel the need

to send you a letter.)

£20 for having to stay at home all day.

£10 for brain damage due to having to suffer daytime tv.

£5 for the tea and cakes that ended up in the bin.

These are video links to show how I deal with Debt Collectors.
