Yes you would need to compound it and it is amazing how much it has cost you when you work it out. There are spreadsheets on here to help but if you are stuck let me know and I will try my best to help you work it out.

Thanks Goldlady I will set about adding it all up and then take it from there. My initial scan through the statements showed the charges were over £1000 so that's would seem a fair amount of interest!

Hi, yes there's been a curious development. A couple of days ago I got this strange message on my answering machine, repeated twice, asking me to phone a 0845 number. I played it back a couple of times because it was one of these mechanical dalek voices used by these automated systems and it sounded like 1st Credit!

 

Needless to say, I did NOT return their call. I will no doubt be hearing from them again, either by letter or phone. I am working on calculating the unfair charges plus interest that is part of this debt.

 

I am also awaiting confirmation from the court re the set-aside of the SD.
