BAYV - Data Protection Act
Dottypoppy replied to veganite's topic in BrightHouse and other "rent to own" Hire Purchase Stores
This all appears pretty suspect to me, your ranting and raving about BAYV having the nerve to knock on the door of where. Your " friends" TV was delivered to, a TV that you admit he has stopped paying for.. You make out BAYV are terrible but you admit you got your dog out to frighten the rep, there was 2 of you and a big dog. . . I am not sticking up for them but your very suspect I hope they take your freind to court .- 145 replies

I think you have to advise the goods were faulty within 6 months of purchase for this to be seen as the goods were faulty on purchase. They dont have to give you a full refund either as they can deduct for usage. I went to the FOS and I only got back 50% of what I had paid becuase I had the benefit of using the goods - a washer in my case which had broken down like 6 times but not until month 8 of hiring.

Orange !! The worst provider ever
Dottypoppy replied to Sana Sadiq's topic in Telecoms - mobile or fixed
Its such a shame 2 hear peoples problems, I think i am quiet luck at the minute becos i am finding the service from Orange a lot beta since they ave been part of 'EE' - my signals fab now but i agree with 2grumpy, writing in is always the best thing 2 do becos its seen more urgent and important isnt it, just make sure you track your letta! Gd luck! -

Bh in the paper
Dottypoppy replied to JOHNINYORK's topic in BrightHouse and other "rent to own" Hire Purchase Stores
found out a lot 2day reading bout bh, may have to try and look in2 this company more i think ! -
Hi arianna22, I dont think the point is cos the sale is done over the phone I think it is any contract or agreement with any company. I tried to take a different company on for the same thing as I didnt have signed copies of the agreements but they gave me ones that were the same as the original and just didnt have the signatures on, so i thought the contracts would be invalid. I was told that this is acceptable in court and by the onbudsman as as long as they can show the term that were explained and set up at the time thats all they had to do and the signature isnt that import for some reason. I think they said there was high rule in a court or something anyway it didnt help me as the court said I had to take some responsibity for reading the contracts in the first place and cos I paid for a long time i had accepted the agreement or something, i cant remember as it was a fair time ago. I also tried the same thing with BAYV as i might as well . I did this because i was really struggling wiv everything and got pretty same response but then they put me in touch wiv one of the top directors called elaine mockler and she did sort eveything out for me. i did want to stop wiv BAYV as I dont have anywhere else to be able to get stuff. She agreed for me to be able to set a plan up where i could pay less every week and i didnt have to pay any late fees or owt like that so it was a big relief. I hope you get sorted
