  1. I've had the same sort of rubbish from CrapQuest, a debt that has increased by several hundred pounds while they've had it. They also claimed, earlier this year that I wasn't making my agreed payments, a quick call to my bank confirmed that all payments had gone though. Phoned CrapQuest again and they were adamant that they hadn't received the payments and that the only way I could prove payment was for me to provide copies of my bank statement. Although I knew nothing of this site or my likely standing in law at that point, I decided that they could take a running jump with that! Have now had the first statement ever from them (they foun

  3. Afraid it is true. Compensation claims for Internation Deliveries take at LEAST 12-16 weeks to process, and that is BEFORE any backlog caused by strikes. You'll be seen as being unreasonable raising legal agtaion before they have completed their investigations. Do rmeember, the have to contact the foreign postal service(s) as they attempt to trace where it was lost. It is compensation (not insurance) so you'll be stuck until they report back.

  4. What it is about is them trying to further abuse the court process. Their claim is substantially the same, ie it is based on the same original agreement and whether or not it includes PPI (which you will have paid in with your payments to them whether or not they removed PPI) so it is still an abuse of process. Give their letter to the court and state that you have not contacted them and asked for a stay of proceedings, and ask them for STRICT PROOF of where they were informed you wanted a stay of proceedings, this should be in writing of course - a telephone call will not be accepted. Get faxing and emailing them and throwing

  5. No wurries Ozzy, - enough sackcloth & ashes - we're all human & as such every one of us obviously makes mistakes & errors of judgement from time to time & hopefully learns from them. I take your point on the principle that one should feel able to come to the forum with any issue & expect to receive non-judgemental opinion/advice. However, in practice I consider that is an unrealstic expectation - the forum can resemble something of a 'bear pit' at times & will provoke strong heated critical response on certain subject matter as you have discovered (the human factor again). A solicitors office is the only place

  6. Hi RV:) If I've understood this correctly, I think I now understand where the confusion over contractual interest being refunded springs from.......please correct me if I'm wrong! On the forum it seems to be the general concensus of opinion that we should ask for a refund of our PPI premiums plus contractual interest plus 8% simple interest. However, if the financial institution concerned refunds you these premiums as they were charged to you (ie, the PPI element of your monthly repayment figure) then this already includes interest at the contractual rate and apart from applying the 8% on top they have fulfilled their obligatio

  7. In an interview under caution what they tend to do first is show her the claim form she signed and go through the conditions of her claim. They will then ask her if she wishes to say anything. If she says nothing or denies any wrongdoing, they will bring out further evidence against her. They can get hold of an array of information. Bank statements, details of loans applied for, utility records, DVLA records, the list is endless. They may also have surveillience material. The more she denies it, the worse the penalty tends to be if the evidence shows she has lied throughout. If she admits to it, she will be given an opportunity to say w

  10. What's up with everyone today? Stop, stop, stop these personal attacks against each other, or I will lock this thread and bury it - then what will you do with your anger? Get back to the subject matter and be civil to each other, or there will be lots of accounts placed on moderation. This thread is far too valuable to allow any overblown ego's of individuals to take over it, so I intend not to let that happen. I suggest you all re-read the (newly updated) site rules - link in my sig if you haven't - before posting further.

  13. With a week to work at it you should be able to do this if you are prepared to spend the time. First thing - if they are living in different parts of the house then swap them round so they get used to the smell of the other cats. Spend a couple of days on this. Then you can start introducing them and it is a good idea to have a really yummy food available as you do it. It's one of the very few times I would agree with the use of tuna Make sure there are at least as many dishes as cats - it's a bit much to expect them to get too close at this stage. If you can, get hold of a small bottle of Bach's Rescue Remedy. Tesco have it i

  14. Hi I am currently off on MA as I had not been employed long enough in new job. Loosing the 6 weeks was a pain but, when claiming Tax Credits they have told me if you receive SMP it is counted as a taxable income where as they do not count MA as a taxable income. I am therefore entitled to more money from Tax Credits. Good luck

  17. I have been on the side line of this debate for some time now and I will make a rare comment on this. Welcome have been working hard on saving cash and putting everything into the loan book they need to repay, we all laugh when they cancel water orders, only printing on double sides, making staff redundant and selling arms of the business to keep the core alive. But what they are doing is showing stake holders they will do what ever it takes to make it work, and sorry to say this but it’s working. The bond holders will not dilute the company nor will they swap debt for equity as welcome has none! So they are stuck. Who wants 5p or
