Im so confused?

hi there, im soooo very confused

 

i have asked my bank Lloyds TSB for a copy of my statements from last 6 years

 

they have sent a letter back to me that says the following:

"we are following 'guidelines about 'default ' charges that doesnt apply to your charges???

as these were for dealing with your request to go over your agreed overdraught limit, they are not default charges because you havnt broken your agreement? they are our prices for the service we provide in these situations."

 

is this right guys??

 

this bank has charged me charge on top of charge, as soon as my pay went into the bank it was all taken up in charges!

 

i really dont know where to go from here

let me guess-40 days exactly-will watch your thread with interest-

i would think you've a case-surely-its the amount which is taken that has caused all the uproar-not the fact that they have charged!

well its such a long saga.its taken me 40 days of complaining for them to say they havnt even recieived my cheque for 10.00 for copy of my statements!

they have gone on say that once they receive my 10.00 they have a further 40 days to process this!! i can see this going on for years at this rate lol

ooh-i'd better prepare myself for a long wait-have you made sure you have a parachute account-thats the first thing i did

 

i'm chasing for £5000-if if hadn't been taken in the first place i wouldnt be working every god damn hour to put son through uni-have you claimed from anyone else?-i just want to get back whats owed to me and start afresh-sick of debts!!!! lol

This is all just the usual delaying tactics from the bank, ignore the letter regarding the charges being for a service, this the latest ploy by the banks to make you drop your claim - just carry on.

 

As far as the SAR time limit is concerened, they have 40 days from the date they received your request, did you send payment with the letter and get a receipt of posting? if so, send them the DPA non-compliance letter from the templates library, if you let them, they will drag this out forever!.

yea i sent payment with letter, unfortunatley with no proof ! arrgghh

im so determined! im usually such a wall flower when it comes to confrontation etc, but these charges have caused me and my familly so much distress, ive been at my whits end.

Its nice to know i can get such helpful advice here
