I'm pretty sure I'll be exempt from court fees....I have filled in the EX160 form and printed it out.....should I take this to the court and wait to find out if I am exempt before doing the N1 form and handing that in??

Just wondering if I can do the N1 form and hand it in with the EX160 form or whether I have to wait for 'approval' for my fee exemption before I take my bank to court.....please help!

Hiya, I handed both N1 and E160 form in together, also, any proof that you have to say your exempt, e.g, award certificate that you have, take that with you as well and they will take a copy of it for you.:)

Hi,

On the EX160 there is a space towards the top that asks what form you are filing with to claim exemption.

If you write N1 and fill in the details this is sufficient for them to process the fee exemption at the same time as filing and accepting your claim.

http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/ex160_1205.pdf

Question 1D asks you to identify the form you are seeking exemption from.

Good luck!
