Notice of transfer of proceedings

On 27th March I received a notice of transfer of proceedings from Northampton County Court transferred to my local court. HSBC are disputing the full amount of my claim, it is worth noting the following appears

 

"without hearing

 

it is ordered that

 

1. the filing of an allocation questionnaire be dispensed with in this case unless the district judge at the court of transfer orders otherwise

 

Date order drawn 27th March 2007"

 

No questionnaire has been included with the documents.

 

My first question is: Has HSBC formally issued a defence or is this an acknowledgement of my claim?

 

Secondly, if this is a formal defence, when can I expect a date to be set by the court?

 

Thirdly, as a date has not yet been set by the court, does this mean that HSBC have not issued a formal defence?

 

It is worth noting that I received a letter from DG with the same date requesting a full breakdown of my charges, which I have now supplied DG.

 

I originally submitted my claim at MCOL on 3rd March 2007.

if dg have requested a breakdown of your charges, in my book that means that they will be writing to you with an offer pretty soon - hang in there

If DG are requesting a breakdown of your charges they could be considering making you an offer, get your breakdown off to them then after a couple of days or so give them a ring to see if they have recieved them.

when you first filled with MCOL did you send a breakdown to DG then if you did and they are asking for a further breakdown then I think a offer could be coming very soon
