Hi all,

I have just re-read the first letter that I sent out detailing the charges and interest and have realised that instead of writing that I need a response within 14 days, I have written 40 days!! Shall I still send the LBA or shut up because I did actually write 40 days?

I am such an idiot!

Thanks

Oh dear, these things happen. I would resend the letter with a bold heading drawing their attention to the typographical error and point out that the time line is 16 days from the date on the original letter not 40 days as in the original letter. Send it Special Delivery so you get a signature. Then stick to the timelines .

sophalaval,

When you have sent off that letter, make sure you read more information about your next stage so that you know what to do next.

If you wait for a reply to your letter before reading around about your next action, you will be under unnecessary pressure.

There is a possibility of going to court, however miniscule, so you have to be prepared to go.

That said, there are plenty of people on here who will help you through it!
