hi yeah I am using the simple charges spreedsheet,I have put the amount in as a minus as you said and thats worked it out! however the interest is still staying the same as before apart from on the line of partial payment where obviously it is a minus.

they have started doing this to everyone, they've prob told the court that they've settled in full. just write a letter to court saying that you've accepted as partial only and will be continuing for the rest, send a copy to halifax. if your going for the C/I then don't accept anything but all the money

OK I GIVE IN

Well its abit confusing... i issued the claim and they acknowledged. then a few weeks later i had £883 in my account so I assumed that was sorted even thought they owed me 925.27 but received a letter today from them implying i was requesting a 925.27 as a further payment and saying i needed to provide evidence of this unless they will submit a defence?!! not quite sure what to do!!

What they have done is put part of the money into your account, but they do normally inform you of this.

You now send a rejection letter, saying you either accept as part payment, and you will be carrying on with your claim for the reast.

Of

You send the letter asking them to remove the amount as you want the full payment.

Either way you can carry on with your claim.

Letter 5 or 6 is the one you want.

That is ok.

They have 28 days your claim deemed served to send a defense. If you dont hear anything in this time, then you can win by default.

What date is your 28 days?

On the letter you recieved back from the court, under your nam and address, there is some small print with dates.

You are looking for date deemed served.
