Hi everyone, I'm new here so please be patient with me!

I've just issued court proceedings against abbey to reclaim charges and interest totalling £1150

I've received a letter from the court this morning saying that abbey intend to defend all of the claim and also a letter from abbey asking for details of the charges and interest so they can put together their defence.

Should I be scared? Or is this just a stalling technique? please let me know if anyone has any experience of this.

Many thanks

Rach

Hi rach,

I bet your letter looks like this doesn't it?

stalling tactics, but you'll need to send them another copy of your schdule of charges etc

All advice offered here is my opinion only based on what I would do in a given situation. If you wish to act on it you do so at your own discretion

I have no legal expertise or qualification, and give advice on the basis of my own experience and nothing else.

Hi,

This is the standard reply from Abbey! I've recently received the same. Just send them a further copy of your schedule & then sit back & wait for their defence to be filed. In the meantime spend time reading up on lots of other Abbey threads to get a feel for things & familiarise yourself with the next stage.

Keep posting your queries on here, there are lots of helpful people who will advise you but also read read read!!!. Good luck!
