Nope, pd - just as Mrs. Van said. I'm a prat.

Thought I had got it when I replied to johnnymitch, but I just don't get the border and shaded background.

Trust old Pete to blow our cover to all and sundry - he couldn't possibly be jealous could he?

I don't use the word 'gender' in this connection - always makes me think of Latin and German nouns and I don't know any neuter people. Well, there was always my old chemistry master who, to our shame, we called "Squeaker" because he had had a nasty accident.....but we wouldn't want to discuss that here would we?

I actually like the word sex, but once again.......

I'm always getting myself into deep water on your thread pd - it must be Los Momentos!

As ever.

Van

P.S. How DO you write accents on here?

P.P.S. I tried unfurling your 'f' but felt I was getting into uncharted waters again - what's it for?

Couldn't find it. the template library only has the basic one for banks. I really need the one that lists everything that you can ask for under DPA

He was not very nice at all. He kept mocking me throughout the whole conversation. I told him that I wanted to do a bit of research into web design and see if it was possible to design one on our own. He just laughed and said "Oh you're a web designer now are you?". Also when I started spuouting off about contract law he then mocked me again by saying "Oh and a lwayer as well are you?". But I kept very cool and took great satisfaction on him hanging up on me instead of me getting frustrated and hanging up on him.

I just hate smart ass salesmen!

That was good advice from Pete, - tell him you're recording the conversation - I've done that before, amazing how quickly they get off the line!! :D

The only trouble is that they are quite a nasty bunch and would probably tell me that they are recording the conversation as well. On Wednesday when the chap phoned me he informed that the conversation was being recorded, but today he borrowed (without asking) his bosses mobile phone to call me which unfortunately was not recorded.

Heads are going to roll they just dont know what each other are doing

The Financial Ombudsman has ruled Barclays were not at fault.

However the bank has now offered Simon £1,000 compensation – not because it believes it did anything wrong but as a gesture of good faith. Simon is considering the offer.

the press will slaughter them when they are in full swing
