Ding Ding, Round 1.

I've sent off my S.A.R this morning, recorded delivery to the following:

Data
Protection
Team

Regulatory Compliance

Abbey
House

201 Grafton Gate East

Milton Keynes

MK9 1AN

I noticed some people mentioning a London address? :?

P.S Added a wee bit extra to the template stating clearly it's a request for a list of charges and not bank statements as I read at the weekend they are using this to stall people.

The address is fine..assume you sent the tenner?

They are slow but they will comply within the 40 days - you will probably get something back from them in the next week or so acknowledging your SAR...

Good luck!

If you think my advice has been helpful, please click on the scales to the left :) thank you!

I've sent them a cheque, although it's not from my Abbey account, hope this doesn't make a difference.

I'm hoping we're talking thousands here. 8)

S.A.R answered this morning. Covering letter along with 37 individual envelopes containing statements. Oh and my cheque returned to as Abbey say they don't charge for it.

Some intensive calculation and reading on the cards. Hopefully take the next step before I go on holiday on thursday.

Thats was quick - have you got the whole account history there ?

I'm not sure yet, my memory doesn't quite go back 37 months. :D

I'm going to pick them up at home this morning, all will be clear then. If they ain't all there I'll stick to the 40 days.

Is it normal for them to return the cheque, and to send the statements in individual envelopes?

My postman must have been thinking "Aye, there's another one taking on the banks"

Right, I've double checked and got the statements in order. I'm claiming for £930. Is there any particular way to set up your schedule of charges? I'm just looking to list date and amount. Do you need to include the reason they charged you?

Also, I'm in Scotland, I've had a look over the differences in our law, if I'm right they don't kick in just yet, do they?

Seconds out...round two.

Both prelim and schedule of charges off in the post today. Total of £1060.68 including the 8%.

Edit: Thankfully I read the FAQ's and removed the 8%. Doh!

I don't believe this, I've just checked my bank and I've had 4 transactions outwith my authorised overdraft. £120 charges if I'm not mistaken.

Can I claim these yet? Or do I need to go through a second procedure while I'm waiting on the first batch.
