new to all of this so need help sent data protection letter on 19 09 2006 to halifax with cheque . cheque cashed on 25 10 2006 .had letter off halifax on 25 10 2006 saying copies of duplicate statments have been orderd and will be sent under separate cover, as of today 23 01 2007 ( well over 40 days ) no copies received what do i do ,as no good at puting together a letter can anyone help me please

After phoning 6 different numbers got through to a miss ham i think it was (01422 326398 ) . Was told my copys were sent out in october (perhaps coming by snail post) new copys will be with me in about 7/10 days so lets see what happens now

Update today 14 feb and still no statements spoke to them on 5 feb they said (miss ham ) that statements would be with me in 7/10 days does that mean working days or not ,if so 10 days is up tomorrow. As i have already sent letter befor action on 24 jan do i now go to the courts ,could someone please help me . My first letter to halifax was sent on the 19 09 2006 i think they are now takeing the pi..... as anyone else had this trouble or is it just me ?

But there is a fee with this one. You do claim it back like any other fees.

But i would phone them back first, tell them you are prepairing to send court papers in order to recieve the statements. The deadline is tomorrow.

got statements 15.2 .07 not to bad as ordered sept 06. now down to business look at spread sheets to claim money back but am unsure .... do i claim back interest back now or latter? would appreciate help know i must sound thick just read so much on this site my head is going round in circles.

Had a reply today off halfax saying(sorry to learn that you are unhappy with the charges debited to your bank account......to right i am:rolleyes: . they then go on to say that the complaint handling rules set out by there regulator, the financial services authoriry, gives them 8 weeks to investigate and respond ,but there commitment to me is that they will respond at the earliest possible opportunity, if for any reason we are unable to respond fully to your concerns within the next 4 weeks we will write to you with update of our progress. What do i do wait for them or not ?
