I bought a large parrot cage from an online UK retailer. The cage they were advertising was to be delivered direct from the supplier to me because they do not stock it on site. The supplier has this cage shipped from China.

Upon delivery, the cage was assembled and my bird was moved into it.

It turns out, the cage is not identical to the photos on the supplier and retailer websites. The feeder doors on each end panel are positioned differently and there are only two doors on one panel instead of three.

I can’t return the cage for a refund because my bird is now living in it, plus even when dismantled the cage is very heavy and will be a nightmare to pack and return.

The supplier is saying that I have received a new design even though the website shows the design I thought I was receiving.

Is there anything I can do about this? Is it legal that I’ve received something that differs from what was advertised?
