New Photo Card Licence ???

Hi,

 

I recently renewed my photo card licence with DVLA, which was all recieved and well, however i noticed on the front upper left corner of the licence was a blue icon symbolizing the (European Union) flag. Does this mean some time soon? i will have to update the photo card licence to remove the EU flag due to the new Brexit rules?

All licences will eventually have to be replaced to remove the EU symbol and likely, the privileges attached to it. 

But how the process will unfold remains to be decided. 

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has refused to confirm whether current licences will expire in 2019 when Brexit is complete. 

A DVLA spokesman told Express.co.uk: “At this stage it really is too early to speculate on the impacts of leaving the European Union.”

I should not be at all surprised if it doesn't need to be changed until it expires in ten years time.

Really.. i think DVLA will won't the EU sign removed before then, maybe?

Waste of money.  I'd have thought the EU would be more concerned about getting it removed than the DVLA.

 

Do you think all those numberplates with the EU badge (and everything else with a EU badge on) will need to be changed?

 

It's only a symbol and means nothing.
