Hello,

Not sure if this is in the right area but -

I check my credit file regularly using credit expert and

now have been checking on equifax too,

i have several defaults on there,

but recently two of them have just completely vanished

and my credit score has jumped by around 200 points on experian...

The defaults were only around 4 years for one of them,

and 2/3 years for another?

How would they just completely disappear when there is still money owed on them?

One i am still paying regularly every week,

the other i have not heard any communication from any debt collectors or anything

and the company said it was passed on when i tried to speak to them about it..

But back to the main point

- these are still owed,

not past 6 years,

but have disappeared?

Could it just be a temporary error on behalf of experian or the original lender,

or once it is gone, will it stay gone?

what happens with my payments for one of them?

It hasnt even come up as settled or satisfied, its literally just vanished..?

who were the original creditors?

I hope you've sent a CCA request to anyone you pay your debts too?

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

- unfortunately i have not CCA requested these

- the one i have CCA Requested is still on my file!

But that one has now passed the 12+2 days and i am sending the follow up letter as nothing has been sent to me at all.. (which is Mack hall)

The other two original creditors which have vanished off my file was Blackhorse and EE..

Should i send CCA Requests to anyone i am actually paying?

i got myself in a bit of a situation when i was young and 18 and applying to all sorts of credit,

then i could no longer afford to pay them so they are now MOSTLY with DCA's,

should i CCA all of them??

James - What details would you require?

I wouldnt like them to go back on to my file but then who would

- however i know the most probably will appear back on at some point :(

Ok i shall do that.

Does it still work the same way as it did years ago?

The CCA Request after the 12+2 days becomes default and unenforceable?

Or do you HAVE to wait the further 30 days for that to happen?

And is it possible to get a default removed from your file if they cannot produce the original agreement?

I dont want to digress from the original topic just stuff that ive been wondering about my current cca request..

not having an enforceable agreement purely means:

that until they find one - they get no money

the 30days went a few years ago.

sadly it doesn't mean anything on a credit file is or will be stopped or is invalid

sb dates are a matter of some [sceptical] debates at present

but typically it starts from when they FIRST could have started legal action process

you'll prob find that a default in any debts' summary

will cause the whole account to vanish from a cra file

[paid or not] happens first before any SB dates become relevant.

however, be mindful that just because a debt is not or falls from your CRA file

it does not necessarily mean it not still owed.

get the CCA's done [where applicable]

then start a thread as each does or does not appear.

we find it better to start a new thread in the named forum

for the Original Creditor
