Hi guys,

I moved to Poland from the UK last year.

I have been on DMP with all my creditors (credit cards) and have been paying them every month.

They don't have my Polish address, they just have my UK virtual address.

Unfortunately I've lost my job and I am not able to pay them the agreed amount at the moment.

I will be sending them letter and explaining my situation (at the moment I can only afford a small payment).

My biggest worry is Natwest overdraft, it is now over its limit due to charges and interest.

Can you please advise me whether I can claim any charges back?

I am not sure whether it would be better to tell them that I am abroad or not.

I don't really want to give them my new address.

Has anyone had any success with Natwest regarding freezing charges and interest on overdraft account and setting up a repayment plan?

Many thanks.

Regards,

Rob.

First off, Dont worry, youre in another country and its not exactly easy to enforce anything. The amount you should be paying if unemployed is £1 and thats all they can have.

Can we have a list of your debts?

We could do with some help from you.

Hi guys,

no, I will never return back to the UK. But I'd still prefer to pay at least minimum amounts to my creditors.

I owe to: Natwest credit card (approx. £600), it is now over its limit by about £150 ( I have not been paying for the last few months)

- Natwest overdraft (about £1300) - it has gone into unauthorized overdraft (the overdraft limit is £1050)

- MBNA credit card - £2200

- Virgin credit card - £2800

- Tesco credit card- £3200

Can you please advise me what would be the best action with Natwest overdraft account?

Can I try to claim back any charges?

They don't know I'm abroad, they have my UK address (virtual).

The trouble is they charge £90 every month for an unauthorized overdraft which means I will never be able to pay it back.

Thanks for your help.
