Hi

can someone help with this

- I read somewhere that it is a bad idea to send fee of £1 to request CCA from DCA's as,

if they're not showing on your Equifax file for example, this can start another 6 year cycle

as you've admitted to owing the debt by making this request

and sending the postal order?

I've made 4 requests recently and am a little worried

Not that I want to apply for any credit cards etc EVER again.

Although I r'cd yesterday 2 application forms for credit cards

- 1 from Capital One (I had a limit of £200 and they hounded me more than anyone, now settled thank goodness) and

1 from Vanquis Bank.

Does this mean my credit score/rating has improved?

would I get in any trouble for marking with edit in marker pen and sending back in their pre paid envelopes?

thanks.

Sending a cca request does not reset the SB clock if you use the template in the cag library.

If the account has been defaulted once it can not default again and only if a ccj was awarded would there be harm to your credit file.

How long is it since you made a payment or written acknowledgement?

I have been making payments since 2006, and I'm still making them to all creditors.

Can I stop making payments until the DCA's reply one way or the other to the CCA request?

I am dreading making token payments again now that I am unemployed,

as I clearly remember what it was like in 2006 onwards for quite a few years

with all the phone calls and threatening letters.

seems like you might be visiting the wrong sites

stick with cag

send off you CCA request with a £1 BLANK PO

and as those comeback

start a new thread for each debt

if you've been paying them since 2006

i'd suspect cash cowing is going on

esp with DCA's rather than the original creditors too.

list your debt

who you pay too

and when you took the debt out

do these show on your CRa file still

I bet not!

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

only 3 of the debts I have posted about are showing on my CRA file:

1. Credit Card from CL finance - originally GE Money, River Island Store Card. file shows as AP since Jan 2010 to date

2. Credit Card from Barclaycard - originally Barclaycard. file shows as AP from Jan 2010-Sep 2011, then as 'up to date' since

3. Credit Card from IDEM Capital Securities - originally MBNA Cr Card. file shows as AP from Jan 2010-Sep 2012, then as 'up to date' since

do I still request CCA and stop payments if they are showing on my file?

thanks.
