hI.

I have also just drafted my first letter to HSBC but don't know who or where to send it. Where did you send yours?

Which is the best address to get the quickest response?

Good luck with your claim. We can compare notes and timescales.;)

Hi,

I too have just started my claim against HSBC.

Nice to know that we dont have to just put up with whatever charges they deem as acceptable.

The HSBC address you need is:

HSBC Bank PLC

8 Canada Square

London

E14 5HQ

Hope you win

no problem westwalian. some write to their branch, others to head office, and yet others registered office. Probably best to use the registered office for the court claim though.

hi.

Have you had any response to any of your letters?

I haven't and the deadline is looming and am about to file my moneyclaim. Just wondered if anyone else had got anywhere.

I'm starting to panic now.

slouhart, don't panic, Its completely normal not to get a reply until after you've started your court claim. I think if you waited long enough, like 6 weeks you might eventually hear from them with an offer, but it's not usually for 100% of the claim. However, if you start your court claim you will hear from DG solicitors with an offer, or maybe a few even. Hold out for the full amount because you will get it.

After you've filed your MCOL wait until DG acknowledges your claim then send them a copy of your schedule of charges marked with your claim number.

DG Solicitors

12 Calthorpe Road

Edgbaston

Birmingham

B15 1QZ

My deadline has just gone and i am making a claim through moneyclaim. does this mean that i will have to appear in court defending myself. has any one been through the process.

vessel it is highly unlikely that you will have to attend a full hearing but starting a court claim means that you do have to be prepared for that eventuality. If it does happen you will get a lot of support and guidance from others on the site. So far HSBC hasn't taken it as far as the courtroom, so I wouldn't worry. You will probably have all this resolved within 4 weeks.
