I renewed my Building & Contents Insurance for my Buy to Let property for one week to get it through my solicitors conveyancing process.

I told CIA that i only needed cover for one week, they said i would have to pay for a full year, cancel and claim money back.

I cancelled after one week after paying £275.

I have just received a reinbursement of £134!

So i have paid £141 for one weeks building and contents cover.

Ive been told that it is in the terms and conditions - Can this be right?

Make a complaint in writing about the poor quality of advice you were given, when you told them you only needed one-weeks cover. They should have worked out the cost of this, so you were aware that it was going to cost over £130 for a weeks cover.

We could do with some help from you.
