Hello

I am looking for some advice.

I am employed by a company and they provide a product and then follow up services to other companies which it is my job to help deliver.

If one of the customers they provide the service to advertises for additional people to help in the process which I am involved in delivering, is there any reason why i would not be allowed to apply to work directly for the customer if the position is better suited to me and my personal needs.

I have checked in my contract and there is nothing which specifically states this is not allowed as far as I can see

I don't see any reason why not.

However this kind of thing can sometimes upset people. Legally your employment contract has an implied term of "trust and confidence", so you shouldn't do anything which undermines your employer or use any "trade secrets" against them.
