Glad it's sorted, but the bailiff needs a good kick up the backside, and down the court steps with his certificate torn up.

We could do with some help from you.

Might be an idea to write to the District Judge at the bailiff's certificating court, enclosing the evidence, and ask if the DJ requires a completed Form 4. It has been known for a DJ to discharge a bailiff's certificate without a Form 4 or a hearing.

A few more of those, where they are discharged without Form 4 would be good, to stop the perversion of the hearing into litigation, and barristers representing a bailiff with the debtor subsequently being hit with huge fees for what is essentially an inquiry as to the bailiffs fitness, not an adversarial trial.

I have noticed that the OP has said nothing since they said they considered the matter closed. Maybe the "goodwill gesture" came with a gagging clause.

Whatever, is it not time that we leave this thread where it is. The Op has got what they wanted and the forum, once again, has helped someone who, left

to their own devices could have been ripped off royally. That is what we do-help others who are in trouble.

I will say this though. I have never seen a bailiff company cave in as quickly. Bear in mind that they repaid every fee including the visits. Either they are starting to get the message,

or the OFT are breathing down their neck or the bailiff was not certificated.
