Hello all,

 

I took out a BG homecare in June 08 - had one previously but cancelled it a few years before. They didn't carry out the annual service until October 08, as they were using my ex husbands mobile to try and contact me (he had not lived in the house since 05 and took out his own homecare cover on his new house). I told the CS to change number and also engineer when he came.

 

Fast forward to June 2010, they had not contacted me to arrange the annual service (they state they will), but had again contacted ex on mobile - he didn't tell me, they did- so went ballistic again and told them to change the number and arranged service. (I did however had a call on my house phone to arrange a service at HIS house!) Enginner came to do service and then put a none compliance order on the boiler saying it wasn't safe...it was a new boiler, the last enginner had passed it so I hit the roof and on the way down got onto the area manager -he agreed to bring it up to standard at no charge as there was discrepancy in what they had done in the two visits.

 

Fast forward to May 2012 and as yet I have not heard a thing from them regarding the annual service, yet again! They are not fulfilling there terms and conditions and not only am I cancelling, but I reallly want to try and claim back the money that they have had off me for the past two years as they are not performing the basics of this contract. Thoughts would really be appreciated.

wise up to start with... and be calm.

 

their t &c's state they will do the Annual service in the 12mth agreement...... anywhere in the 12mth is suffice.

have you had a breakdown? if so how could ou possibly think you could claim your money back?

 

general rule of thumb for call centres.... speak nice you ill be helped..... be an arse and the agent will not help you very much at all.
