Hi,

I found your site yesterday, and after reading through some of the forums, I thought i would see how much Woolwich have charged me in the last year, have added up and comes to £880 that's in the last year alone. So Guess what, Time to send a SAR letter and find out what they have charged over the last 6 years.

So have a few questions if anyone can help me!

1. They have in the past 6 months refunded 3 charges after I have called and explained the situation, (have just had a baby and husband changed jobs) Do I take that off the total I claim or just add everything up?

2.They have charged interest on the overdraft, but not on fees, do I include this or not.

3.How do I work out interest etc, someone mentioned a spreadsheet but not sure how this works.

Sorry if these are basic questions but wnat to get things straight before continuing.

Thanks for help.

Hi Tilly, and welcome!

If you know how much they have refunded just take them off the total claim.

Is the interest they've charged on an authorised overdraft? if so its not worth the bother of working out to be honest!

If your having probs with spreadsheet just hand write a list of charges date and cost and send with letter ok?

Any probs come back here

Good luck!

Welcome Tilly, you'e come to the right place, hmmm adds up quite quickly doesn't it! When you complete your spreadsheet just omit charges they have refunded, if you are claiming contractual interest, you can only claim it on the amount of interest on the chargesthat have been levied, the alternative is to wait until the court stage then charge the 8% but this thread may help you decide: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general/18313-why-no-one-claiming.html?highlight=contractual+interest

The spreadsheets are in the template library but I suggest you read the above first and decide which way you want to claim interest. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/

Couple more questons,

Do they always close the account after you have claimed?

and can I add in the charges for my time, I read somewhere about charging £9.25 for each letter, is this now or once I claim in court?

Thanks sorry if being a bit dim!!!
