I have been paying 2 debts to Global debt recovery for years and then the penny dropped, I dont think this is my debt.

after reading on here about getting proof,

I sent them a £1.00 postal order to get proof of the debt.

On return of post I had a letter to say they were closing down one of them.

I then sent another postal order and had a letter back to say they were closing this account.

In the meantime I have sent £10.00 postal order to the bank concerned Lloyds TSB last week to get proof of the debts from them have not heard yet.

How do I get all the money back if its not my debt?

Also how can I take Global to task for harrasment as they are worse than the droppings from my dogs especially one man there.

When I spoke to him he said the reason they dropped the first one was because it was only £799.00

but I was in debt for £18k!! on the other one, its funny how they dropped it though when I asked for proof.

Wait for Lloyds to come back with the info. If they have passed on false info to debt collectors, they could be liable to pay you back the money you have paid, plus the interest at 8%. There is also the issue as to whether they have passed on false information to the credit reference agencies or caused this to happen. If this has caused you any issues, they could also be liable to compensate you.

We could do with some help from you.
