Hi, I worked for a care company for about 3 weeks. I have now discovered they were real cowboys. I did 5 hours shadowing before I went out and was working on my own, as I had no idea what I was doing I nearly dropped one lady and I didn't give her her medication. I have also found out that they employed me without my CRB returned, which I had to pay for. I am already taking them to a tribunal, for witholding a very small amount of money for cover shifts that they failed to record (im doing it on principle) but after the way they have treated me, I hae no trouble admitting I want to sue them because I want them to pay for they way they have treated me.

What can I do? I am conscidering reporting to CQC

Hello there.

In case it helps people trying to advise you, how long ago did you leave please?

You may not need to go to court for the money, but the guys will advise.

If you report them to the CQC, will they require proof and do you have that?

My best, HB

Hi,

I am afraid but you must have completed a year work before you can claim unfair dismissal, hence there is nothing you can do...

However you may report them to the health watchdog if you feel cncerned about the way they operate.
