  1. OK. I think a timeline would benefit here 1. Go to pay for petrol... Enter my pin wrong (or so I thought). 2.Go travelling 3. Return home and recieve debt letter.. 4. Go to bank and order new card. 5. Go to stay at friends 70 miles away. My point is do I ignore the DCA?
  2. Travelling is going to stay with a couple of friends in a couple of areas close by. I am not driving across europe. Also. Backticks are really annoying, apostrophes will do fine thanks.
  3. Firstly, your statement about shoplifing driving prices up is incorrect, you can go on the internet to find out why. Secondly, I would thank you to not judge me on things I did years ago, I am not 18, and I am not now who I was then either. The phrase "let he who is without sin..." springs to mind. And to the others who are here to help, rather than attempt to pull people apart, the reason I have not paid is because I am still waiting for a new card and PIN to come through. I have since gone travelling again, so if my new PIN has arrived, I am still unable to do anything until I get home.
  4. I am back away from home again now, but its one of those typical newlyn "wrongful actions" bs letters.
  5. Hi.. To make a long story short. Card was PIN blocked. I was away from home for a few weeks. Signed form at station. Didn't make deadline and now I have a civil recovery letter. From past experience I am aware that these bullies are best ignored. Should I ignore them on this too?
  6. A dumb question, but who do I send that to? And, no I have not registered with UJM. Despite my adviser asking me on numerous occasions. Fortunatley I have a very nice adviser, who isn't aggresive about it, a second reason I don't want to go on this is because they will no doubt send me on to some bitter pencil-pusher who I will come to blows with, as I did last time, when another adviser asked me why I didn't look for jobs on Christmas Day.
  7. OK, I will do all the things above. I am not very familiar with the site, and although I do try and do things myself I can't find anything about a DPA notice! Is there a template somewhere? Thanks.
  8. Thanks for your reply. I have not recieved anything just yet. But I will update once I hear from them. What I meant was that the jobcenter will not refer you to a WP for 90 days (at discretion) if you tell them you are to be imminently employed anyway (which is about the only thing that makes any sense) . I do not mind attending if I will recieve useful information about becoming self-empoyed, but I will not be matched to inappropriate jobs, or told to take the first thing that comes along, simply so a private company gets some easy government cash. Which is currently what I feel goes on. I have had issues with the jobcenter before, and won, however I am in unfamiliar territory here!
  9. Hi.. Jobcenter are about to put me on Work Programme. I have heard nothing but bad things about this. Over the past few months I have been looking for jobs that I think I could do ( I have really severe ADHD and cannot do something mundane like sit on a till all day, I would pull my hair out) I am an actor, but aside for applying for lots of acting jobs I also look for other things, as long as they are not till based. Anyway, I am about to go on the work programme, and I have already seen the general rules ( I won't sign anything etc etc) I am also not happy to be shoved around the system by a private company, but I digress. I am also going self employed very soon. The money I need to set up my business is very little, and as such there would be no point in me looking for a full time job anymore like the work programme will invetibly attempt to hassle me in to doing. I am asking if anyone can lend any advice to keep off of this. Reasrch I have done shows that it may be unlwaful anyway? I have also read that JC can keep you with them for an extra 90 days if you are about to become employed? Any help would be appreciated, because I am damned if my ambition will be channeled into free labour for poundland!
  10. Hi. Over the last two years I have been fighting it out with Santander and paypal, and I am coming to the end of my tether... I will start at the beginning. Shortly after joining paypal I noticed that for some reason PayPal were telling me that small transactions had been completed when I had no money in my bank. This struck me as odd (as it had never done this before). So I made some massive test purchases (about £7000) although they were declined I still cancelled them instantly (just incase anything had gone through and I recieved any goods). The next thing I know is Santander are telling me I have bounced funds.. I check my statement and see that I have a load of bounced direct debits that were set up by paypal on there. At the time it said they funds were going as an "echeque" whatever the hell that is... It did not say direct debit. Anyway. I thought Santander was to blame so I took them to the Ombudsman who said that Santander was only acting on information given to them by PayPal. I rang PayPal today and they said that all they do is advance the funds then claim it back from the bank. I said that that didn't matter to me, and as far as I am concerned when I cancel a transaction I expect it to be cancelled and not to go on undercover then hit me out of the blue. They kept repeating the same lines. This, has of course affected my credit rating, and santander keeps sending me letters over the last two years asking for money. I am not paying anyone anything. I made no transactions. No money was sent from me. No money was recieved. No one sent or recieved any goods at all. What do I do now? Should I take paypal to the ombudsman? I just want this situation over with and my credit rating sorted out. I am 20, and I need to be able to get credit! I should also add that aside from this my credit history is perfect. I have never missed a payment to anyone. Thanks

  12. They have done it to me twice before and I paid it. But still. If this happens now can you give me some advice on what to do? The only thing I am really clued up on is dealing with are dcas. I like to do my own research but if you wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction on this one
  13. OK, my insurance company or at least the comany they use for collecting payments (premium credit) have a policy where if they try and take payment and they can't do it they charge a penalty of 20 quid. I suspect mine may have bounced, I will find out tomorrow. Are companys allowed to charge extra? It doesn't sit right in my mind. Lloyds won't charge me, so why should they!
  14. I have an employment tribunal for the following reasons I worked for a care agency Employer: Employed me without a CRB check, and told me that the check had come back. Got me to give medication to people without any medical training. Manual handling with no training Didn't give me a p45 or tell me why I was sacked. Refusing to pay me for shifts I covered. Can anyone estimate what I can get for a payout? Money I am actually owed is only about £20 + crb costs that I want returned, as it was taken from my wages and not used for it's intended purposes. But I am now thinking maybe I might get some more? Any thoughts?
  15. They sacked me after 4 days. Apparently I had complaints. It was in dec. I want my money I am owed, AND to sue them for whateer i can. I just don't what I can sue them for!
  16. Hi, I worked for a care company for about 3 weeks. I have now discovered they were real cowboys. I did 5 hours shadowing before I went out and was working on my own, as I had no idea what I was doing I nearly dropped one lady and I didn't give her her medication. I have also found out that they employed me without my CRB returned, which I had to pay for. I am already taking them to a tribunal, for witholding a very small amount of money for cover shifts that they failed to record (im doing it on principle) but after the way they have treated me, I hae no trouble admitting I want to sue them because I want them to pay for they way they have treated me. What can I do? I am conscidering reporting to CQC
  17. I know this isn't helpful, but what on earth made you do such a stupid thing? I thought that no one used it.. What made yo so desperate you went to a loan shark?!
  18. Hi, Hi, I got a Drydens letter a while ago. Drydens wanted £150 off me, and citizens advice wrote a letter for me to send that said " I am not legally liable to pay the £150 demanded of me" I had another letter back from them, full of long words just for the sake of using them, I ignored it and have not heard anything back from them since. Now I am dealing with RLP, I sent them them the same thing, and they only told me why Tk Maxx were legally allowed to recover costs, but still didn't explain why I was legally liable to pay them. RLP seem a bit more vicious than Drydens, they don't seem to say the word "may" very much. EG "blah blah blah, we saw you do it on cctv blah blah blah. This evidence *will* be prepared at the appropriate time and subsequently confirmed in court "We have only addressed the issues which have a legal basis, any other points not answered are not relevant to this case." So I guess that the fact I don't have to pay isn't relevant then.......so why are you writing to me?! The security staff know I am not going to pay, I told them (and the police) I wasn't. They were not too happy, but I said to them that I don't have to pay anything other than the police fine, and that's exactly what I would do. Anyway, should I continue to ignore them and hope like drydens that they leave me alone? But one thing is for sure. They are getting nothing off me.
  19. No, but what if it turns out that it was £130... Will I still be harassed?
  20. Whilst I personally find them addictive etc. It is a fact that they supress your appetite. When I was in school most of the girls were taller than I was. Also the pediatrician will meet up with you every 6 months or so, and plot how his height weight and blood pressure are. When he hits 18 and he is too old, he will be passed on to a behavioural psychologist (not as bad as it sounds apparantly, I am due to meet one soon I think) I really am puzzled at this late diagnosis.... Don't hate me for saying this but could it just be hormones?
  21. Was I wrong to ask for more than one persons input?
  22. Aspergers... Not so life long after all. Personally I think it is made up. I think that scientests and doctors are not happy until there is a label for everything.
  23. Any possibilty of getting my question answered in more than 3 letters?
