Penalty fare deadline on DLR

I was issued a DLR penalty fine. If I don't pay within 21 days the amount due will increase up to 50 pounds. After 21 days, will I receive any kind of letter to remind me I am not having discount anymore or something like that? Wich is the deadline after the first 21 days to avoid another penalty increasing?

If you don't pay after the 'deadline', you will receive letters informing you that the case has been forwarded for prosecution in court. So you will not have to worry about that £50.

 

Probably just £200.....

21-days is the deadline. I wouldn't rely on a letter before that informing you that the reduced penalty amount no longer applies. As Grotesque stated, if you fail to pay after the 21-days, it'll either attract further charges, or be processed for prosecution.

Date for penalty fare notice: 1st of december

25 pounds owed: from 1st to 22th of december

50 pounds owed: from 23th of december to 12th of january

prosecution in court: from 13th of january on

 

Am I right?

Surely the payment details are printed on the back of, or otherwise accompany, the penalty fare notice?

 

Judging from a photo on the internet of a similar notice, it seems to be £25 (or appeal) for 21 days, then £50 for 14 further days, then worse.

It's usually the lesser amount if paid within 14-days or so, as the deadline for full payment is 21-days. Therefore I would imagine the deadline for full payment (£50) would be 21/22 December.

 

Edit: As I stated on the MSE Forum, it would appear that beyond 21 days is £50 afteral. Could be your lucky day then, depending on which way you look at the situation!

The thing is that I won't have any money to pay untill second week of january so that's why I asked about the "second deadline". I wouldn't like to pay more than 50.
