It has come to light that a year ago when I left work the manager never gave my written notice to HR and they now have me on record as failing to show for work and being dismissed. My manager was a bully and I left because of her and of course I stated facts and reasons as to why I was leaving in my written notice. They say they are not removing this from my record and I have to contact my manager to have this removed. This manager caused me to suffer from panic attacks and I ended up on antidepressants because of her.

Am I within my rights to request that HR sort this out themselves?

Am I within my rights to pursue legal action against them?

As per their records they dismissed me while on sick certs?

Hi

The question here is why is a company you no longer work for telling you to speak to the manager?

What written notice have this company given you that you not only failed to show for work but were also dismissed? (surely they have your contact details)

I didnt realise the certs have to be signed in work, that means they will have a record of who recieved them and threfore who recieved my notice. They are instructing me to go back to the manager, who was bullying me, as she is the person who keyed the notice. One of the reasons I left and this was written in my notice, Hence the reason I think it was not forwarded. They are supposed to have a strict stance on bullying yet there was noting done. I was not the only person to report it. 2 further staff left just before me and another manager transferred to get away from her.
