Hi I owe £750and to roll it over you need to go in to the branch and pay £168 the day before your payday in other words the worst day of the month. I was unable to do this as I had lost my debitcard and it had been cancelled so I was waiting for a replacement As I didnt roll it over they tried to collect the £750 and the £168 interest from ehat was a cancelled card. When this didnt go through the following morning the phone calls started. I had at least 10 on Friday and i told them I couldnt pay. i was told to bring the money for a rollover to the branch by close of business, obviously I couldnt do that. This morning the calls started again and eventually after i told them i would not have money for a rollover until Tuesday i received a text from a paul smith (I suspect a made up name and actually a branch member of staff) which said that they were from the collections team and I had 24 hpours to pay or a 3rd party door collections team could be involved and an arrestment of earnings given to me. I do not want to roll this over as to do this I will need to provide my debit card details and I am sure they will try to clean out my account. I now do not know what todo the calls are unpleasant and one turd said he would carry on ringing every contact number i gave them until it was resolved. They also said i was gaining £30 a day charges. This is now 1 day late. HELP!!!!

These are horrendous to deal with at first. I defaulted on my loan with them a year ago now and it took weeks of phone calls from them and letters from me to sort it out. They will threaten the earth will collapse around your head, they will take your first born child etc etc.

Now, I eventually managed to get them to agree to a plan, whereby I was going to have them paid off in 10 months but it took constant emails and letters and in the end I just started paying what I could afford into the branch. Unfortunately my repayment plan went belly up when I lost my job so they have now offered me a f&f of about just over half what I still owe.

I don't want to worry you but wanted to let you know that they are awful to deal with at first and it will take a long time to get anywhere but the chances are that they won't take legal action. They haven't on me..... Yet!!

I will try and find you an email addy to contact when I can crank my laptop up. Stay strong!!

  • 2 months later...

Hi,

I also have loan of £750, and roll it over once, but won't be able to do it again- my husband had accident at work, and injured his back seriously and his unable to work for a while, which mean we only have little income coming from his wage, and all bills has to be paid from mine...anyways, my loan is due to be pay back in December the 15th, and my question is what should I do- lost my debit card, reported stolen etc.. and defaulted on my payday loan with cheque centre , then ask for a repayment plan, or what else? Do they eventually agreed for a decent monthly repayments? did anyone have a payment plan with them, and were they easy to deal with??

Thanks everyone.
