Only 3 things stop a wages arrestment

1. Pay the full balance

2. Bankruptcy

3. A DAS payment plan - http://www.dasscotland.gov.uk

Otherwise you will have to offer your full monthly council tax plus something to reduce arrears for this years council tax while also putting up with the arrestment.

If you live alone or are the only adult you should have 25% discount.

If you are on a low wage you might be entitled to benefit

can you afford to pay the correct amount for this years plus a wee bit extra?

they cannot take anymore money for this years via the wages arrestment as they will be taking the maximum amount they can and you can only have 1.

If i were you i would put your payment proposal in writing and inlcude the first payment with it or pay on line and just stick to it.
