Evening all,

I know of two people, both at the same address that have loans with this shower, the collector is supposed to call each week to collect their payments, but......he turns up irregularly and as a result they both have been sent default notices!

Just sounding out an idea here, since the account balances in the dn's don't match their payment books, is to get them to tell provident that they will pay by standing order each week and their agent can get &^%ked!

has anyone ever done this with them and is it reasonable to insist on this payment method

Thanks in advance:-x

Prov have a payment line if that's any help to you? You can pay over the phone with a debit or credit card.

0800 916 6440

Never know a prov loans to ever show up on a credit file!! So wouldn't worry about the default

Contact their head office and inform them of the reason for non payment, Put the blame on them, they will lose an agent before they lose a customer

Don't worry about any court action they may threaten, they will go no where near a court with their interest rate.

Sure you can pay by another means.

As for the defaults, it's their own fault. They knew the payments were due each week but choose to not pay with the agent not turning up as an excuse. They should have made other arrangments.

they tend to send deafult after 12 weeks of non-payment , also provident & greenwoods do show up on youyr creditfile as i have few settled and outstanding loan from them all showing up on my file i think they mainly use callcredit tho as i cant find them on experian or equifax at the moment

i think callcredit is getting used mainly by payday loans like wonga * provident * greenwoods etc but tend not to show up on the 2 major ones
