Say no to 0870

Hi,

I needed to call a PC company to report a faulty modem under warranty. I am in the communications business (Technican) and knew it was faulty so I was looking a replacement. They spent over 2 hours on the phone (I called them) and still no modem. I have spent in total approx £20 in calls to them with still no resolution. I have since escelated this and looking call charges also paid back.

In the short term I got a modem for £10 out of my own pocket.

 

I now refuse to pay to complain and was well relieved to find this website.

Give it a try, could be helpful.

According to my local paper (The Evening Telegraph 19th April 2006)

 

"The cost of calling 0870 numbers will be cut to the same as national landline rates, the telecoms regulator said today.

Businesses will no longer get a cut of revenue generated by calls starting with this code, according to Ofcom..."
