I have a 6 year old son and my sister has residence of him, I want to move away to be nearer to them but it would mean that my husband would have to give up his job as it would be too far for him to travel each day.

If we did move we would have to claim job seekers until my husband got another job but I need to know if DWP would treat the claim as a doubt because my husband gave his job up voluntarily.

Yes they will have a doubt. I left my job due to helping out my father with my severally disabled mother and I have been told six months down the line it is not a valid reason for leaving my job and been handed a sanction.

Like the above poster has said it's best for you to apply for JSA.
