  1. I have a 6 year old son and my sister has residence of him, I want to move away to be nearer to them but it would mean that my husband would have to give up his job as it would be too far for him to travel each day. If we did move we would have to claim job seekers until my husband got another job but I need to know if DWP would treat the claim as a doubt because my husband gave his job up voluntarily.
  2. I got nothing from him because all he thought about was dossing on the dole.
  3. The child is 15 and I supported her for 10 years and got nothing from her father.
  4. My ex has put in a claim for child support from me, A court order was issued in 2003 which allowed him and his mother joint residence and parental responsible, I do not have residence or parental responsible, I don`t have any contact wirh them or the child. Is`nt it up to them to support the child, You should`nt need 3 adults to support a child. Please could someone tell me where I stand on this matter.
  5. Received a letter from Natwest today offering to pay up in full, They enclosed a form to sign and return to accept their offer. The problem is that they said once they receive the form back the money will be paid into the account which Natwest closed due to their charges, I won`t have access to this money unless Natwest re-opens the account which I dealt they would do. Should I send the form back signed with a letter asking for them to return the money by cheque. Or should I just send a letter reminding them that the account is closed and a cheque will be acceptable, Once they confirm payment will be made by cheque then send the form back signed.
  6. No, All funds from the account in credit was transfered to the overdrawn account, The BDWO charge was applied to the overdrawn account then both accounts were closed by natwest, However I dont think I should Claim back the £8.24 charge as I have just found a reply letter from a complaint I made to natwest and it states that the remainder was written off and both accounts closed.
  7. Oh I see now, It looks like they transfered all my funds from a savings account to pay the overedraft of my step account which was due to bankcharges, This left it at £8.24 Overdrawn then they charged a BDWO of £8.24 which has left the account £16.48 overdrawn.
  8. What Does that mean ? does it mean they have charged me because they had to closed my account
  9. I have finally received the rest of my statements, All charges add up to £635.24, There is a BDWO charge of £8.24 can anyone tell me what this charge is. Thanks
  10. I`ll have a look for to see if ICO has a website, Some people may think what happened to me was funny but it is really a joke gone too far
  11. I work at a factory as a cleaner, Everyone who works there needs to swipe a pass to get on & off site, The pass is issued by security staff and all your details which includes a photo (that is taken by security) is filed on computer and can only be accessed by security. The problem is a contractor who does`nt work for security had enlarged & printed my photo then placed it on top of a christmas tree for everyone to see, I took it straight to my manager. Can anyone tell me if security have broken the law, If so what can I do about it
  12. Please can anyone tell me what would be the best address to use to send my Data Protection Act Letter to Abbey National. Thanks.
  13. I received a letter back fron Alex Lyons office asking me what statements are missing, I told them in the letter I sent what statements have`nt arrived so they could`nt of read the letter properly, It now looks like recorded letter no 4 will have to be sent.
  14. NatWest done the same to me, I was overdrawn due to bank charges for returned direct debits, They transfered funds from my reserve accout into the step account and closed both accounts without my permission, I phoned them and they said we normally do this when a account has been overdrawn, I complained by letter which was a waste of time as their reply was mainly about letters they sent me asking for me to contact them about paying back the overdraft. I then done a internet search to see if I can find out the banking law and found this site, I then sent of my data protection act, Did`nt receive all my statements so sent another letter asking for the rest of them, I am now waiting for them so hopefully shortly I may be able to start the ball rolling. I would advise you do what tinkerbelle suggested, But make sure you send the S.A.R by recorded delivery as they could say they did`nt receive it. Please keep me posted how you get on.
  15. Hi Vonnie, Thankyou for offering to help, I have sent you a PM
  16. I received a letter from them on Saturday threatening court action, Is`nt it too late to appeal.
  17. They are saying I owe them £1300, I was awarded this amout, My husband started work just before it was due for renewal so I decided not to reclaim as we would`nt be entitled to it, They are now asking for it back.
  18. I received books from mango that I had`nt ordered 2 years ago, I was shocked to see that the books were of adult nature, I found a invoice in the parcel and phoned them, I told them I had not joined their club and to arrange collection which they did. I beleived that someone ordered them using my name and address as I also got a letter through the post from a dating agency.
  19. Dave would have to pay for google search with the donations he receives, But there`s no guarantee it would increase more donations.
  20. I have just phoned my sister and told her to write to westcot telling them that she will be paying the debt direct to BT, She said BT refused to take any money and said she has to pay direct to the DCA, I told her BT can`t refuse payment, I advised her to pay BT using the payment slip or BT payment card.
  21. All I can think of is that Wescot has charged my sister for taking over the debt from BT, When my sister phoned BT on Friday they refused to take payment and told her to contact the DCA.
  22. My sister had problem paying her BT bill of £300.00, On Friday she phoned BT and said she wants to pay the bill and be re-connected, She was told that her account had been passed to a DCA and they gave her the number to call, BT also told her they can re-connect her once the DCA confirms the debt is paid. She phoned the DCA and found Wescot on the other end of the phone, Wescot told her that she has had other debts with them which are all paid, (Must be on file). My sister decided not to give them the £300 in one lump but offererd to pay £50 per week, Wescot agreed and said that they will send out a confirmation letter in the post. My sister received the conformation letter Saturday morning but was shocked to see that the debt had been increased to £618.00, I told my sister that Wescot must of added a charge. Can anyone tell me if my sister can claim back this charge and all charges on exsisting debts that my sister has had with Wescot, If so would she send a Data Protection Act or a CCA to Wescot, Help wording them would also be appreciated.
  23. I brought up my half sister from the age of 6 after my mother passed away, She had petit mal epilepsy and would fall suddenly while having a seizure so I had to try a protect her from hurting herself, I could`nt always get to her quick enough as she never got any warning and only knew she had a fit after it was all over, Sometimes she would wet herself, put her head in her dinner during a fit, There was times the school would not have her in until her fits reduced, I decided to note down the times for each fit for a month as a record for the doctor, one day alone she had 38 fits, This was getting me down so I decided to take her of her medication for a week to see if there is any change in the amount of fits she has, I could`nt believe it, the first day she had only one and that was the only fit she had for the week. I decided to phone the hospital for a urgent appointment with the consultant, When I saw the consultant I showed him the fits record, I told him that I have stopped my sisters medication and her fits have stopped, But he would`nt have it, he insisted that she goes back on her medication and gave a different medication. Today my sister is now 20 with her second child due 3 weeks, She stopped her medication when she left school and has`nt had a fit since. :) :) :)
  24. The rest of the statements still have`nt arrived, I have just wrote another letter to Alex Lyons which will be sent tomorrow by recorded delivery.
