Hello all...

I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this for me.

I have been using QQ for the last 5 months to tie me over, i have borrowed roughly £150 pm for that period of time.

I have never missed a payment, nor been in anyway late paying them back.

I now have no need (thankfully) to use the service but checked anyway yesterday to make sure everything is up to date, yet i had a decline note by the side of my account.

So firstly, why would i have been declined if i had not applied for another monthly loan anyway?

Secondly does anyone have any idea why this would have happened, as nothing else has changed in my finances.

QQ have passed the buck to another organisation who they use as a credit reference agency, but the number is an automated one. So little help.

If anyone has any ideas i'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like QQ are doing some sort of credit check. This must be a new tactic and perhaps they are checking all their previous customers. Perhaps more of us in the UK are not paying them;)

It would be interesting to see if they have recorded anything on your credit file.

You could e-mail them and ask them for an explanation.

Thanks for your help, tempted to write to the credit agency to find out exactly why.

QQ don't hold any of this information, but i will order a equifax report and see if there is any strange goings on.

I have checked the current account and nothign seems to be out of place.

They probably dont like lending to people who pay back every month.

They cant add their massive fees to your account, probably not a lot of profit in it for them.

count yourself one of the lucky ones

Just to follow up here...

I ordered the credit report and there is nothing untoward going on here.

Account still showing a decline, but QQ are now texting me asking if i wanted a discount on my next loan. Must have had 3 of these this week.

Very odd....
