Hi all

Just want a peice of advise really,

I parked in a Valley Enforcement car park back in October 2009, and the car park was very busy, there are badly marked parking bays, and a lot of people on this day were slightly parked over a line, so i had to follow suit to enable both cars parked on either side to open their doors, i then came back about 3 hour later to find a car park attendant putting a ticket on my car, i asked why and he said i was taking up to parking bays, at this time both cars had left, I then asked why, he then said take it up with Valley Enforcement, so i sent a letter appealing to the parking ticket, and they sent a letter back with a convenient picture of my car parked slightly over the parking bay line with both cars either side gone, being later in the day does not surprise me.

I also receive a letter on 14th January dated 6th January stating that I had 7 days to pay £130.

The fact I drive a Volvo V70 estate, and that other cars were parked over the line, I feel inclined not to pay the fine, and am open to advise on what to do next if anything,

The car park is located in Crawley and the surface of the car park is very uneven, if you had any kind of sports car it would be wrecked.

Don't

so i sent a letter appealing to the parking ticket,

oops, too late!

and they sent a letter back with a convenient picture of my car parked slightly over the parking bay line with both cars either side gone, being later in the day does not surprise me.

They have not allowed your appeal:eek:

:D

First, stop taking them so seriously as if you were dealing with a lawful authority. You are not, you are dealing with a Private Company trying to [problem] you. The thibg to do next, then after that and then after that is ignore them.

The car park is located in Crawley and the surface of the car park is very uneven, if you had any kind of sports car it would be wrecked.

Hi all

...

.....

Take some time to read a small number of threads on here and you will see that there are loads of of people the same as you. You will also come to realise the 3 rules you need to follow are:

1. Ignore

2. Ignore

3. Return to 1

Don't bother wasting your time worrying about it or communcating any further with them. Just ignore the junk that will come from them.

Make sure though you understand why you are ignoring (Contract Law - claims for actual loss, contract is with driver not RK and so on) then so you can advise your friends and family should they end up in the same situation.
