Advice on V5 info please

If it does show on the V5, it is on the front page after the name and adress in the space under that.

 

It will only show on teh V5 once the V5 has been updated. So, if the V5 is a year old and the car was written off 6 months ago, it will not show unless the V5 has been updated.

 

Hpi is the safest and best value option. If in doubt, walk away.

Lol u got me......no and yes.....I'm buying a car and will get a hpi, but I'm also selling a car I was given. I've never had a hpi on it but I've got people willing to travel a considerable distance To look at it, I know it's never been stolen or have any outstanding finance but with regards to being crashed I don't know..... I don't really want to fork out for a hpi on a car I'm going to give away so where on the v5 would it say if it was a cat ?
