Hi,

I have sent the "Preliminary approach to repayment letter" to which NATWEST replied with a long letter which basically says : "I am sorry you didn't appreciate what we did but what we did was legal. We consider the matter closed if you don't replay within 10 days."

I am about to send the "Letter before action" and will attach a list of the charges I request repayment for. Shall I include the 8% interest already?

Cheers,

Paulo Matos

Hi pm

I'm just ahead of you - LBA already mailed and awaiting reply.

As I understand it, don't include the 8% interest until you begin court action, then include it in your claim.

Good luck.

(I also got a longggg letter from them after the prelim letter - most of it seemed to be about overdraft charges which was totally irrelevant to me because I'm only reclaiming unpaid direct debit fees)

I made a conscious decision to get out of debt:cool:. I will not be bullied or harrassed:mad: by DCA's or bailiffs whilst I try to satisfy my creditors.
