i should have dealt with this in writting i know, march 2006 i was living in a council flat and preparing to move to a house we just purchased on the 17th march 2006 i phoned up the council and said we have just got the final notification of when the house will be ready etc and said we will be out on the 20 somthing ,they said no not enough notice i said ok will the 27th of march be ok they said that is fine good luck in your new property etc etc, after never hsaving to deal with this type of thing before i didnt realise i had to give notice in writting and they didnt mention it either so we moved ,after 7 months or thereabouts i had a letter saying that i had to pay 1900 approx in rent and somthing about a ccj ,all that because i never thought about written notice paying back somthing that i dont really owe as there was new tenents in there pretty much after we left .
