Hi there,

Sort of a nasty question to ask and im not sure if this is posted in the correct place but here goes..

Is it possible to set up A 3RD party company who can claim on behalf of customers who have been over charged?

Any help regarding this would be fantastic...eg qualificaton required if any.

Please email response to

There are a couple of websites out there for companies that do this for businesses. I would have some qualms about anyone who tried to do this for individuals without appropriate qualifications and, as Dave says, PII cover.

Having said that I think a no-win, no-fee service offered by a firm of solciitors might be helpful for those people who are nervous about potentially going to court. I'm not a solicitor by the way.

I can see where your coming from Dave,

but as i see it, id rather the money be split between myself and a customer than still sitting with the bank!!

Ok its not an ideal situation, but if you can persuade someone who lacks the motivation themselves to do it...why not?

Because unless you do it right you risk exposing your client to significant court costs. Doing this sort of thing is not something you can wake up one morning and decide to do. Without appropriate training and planning, you will become unstuck.

I'd sooner people get ALL that they are entitled to. This Group provides all necessary support, knowledge and encouragement. They do not need someone else taking advantage of their misfortune. I know of several people who are taking on other peoples claims FOC.

The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.

By the time you've obtained the qualifications this issue could well have been resolved one way or another

I'm doing an MBA at the moment and one of the things you learn very quickly is to look at situations for business opportunities. In my view the only opportunity that exists in this market is for existing players or for startups that involve qualified lawyers and accountants.

Startups won't happen because the legal and regulatory situations are so uncertain. At some point it will be legally established whether these charges are lawful or not (almost certainly not) and tht is when the market will probably disappear. I can't see the status quo lasting for more than a year.

to be blunt - the fact you're even having to ask this question tells us that you DON'T have the skills, knowledge or research expertese you would NEED to be able to offer a compitent service.
