  1. Okay thank you for the help. I have a feeling I’ll be getting one after reading all the previous posts.
  2. Yeah I agree, after reading all the posts on here I know that now. I haven’t heard anything back yet so I guess it’s a waiting game? How strong do you think my case is in regards to my contract and Centrica not defining Training Programme?
  3. Hi, Like many in this forum I left British Gas and have now started to receive letters from CST Law as well as text messages and missed calls. Background: I received my contract for BG in Nov 21 and I left in June/July 22. My contract stated that I would have to pay back a fee if I left after completing my Training Programme. The exact wording is The amount of repayment will be in accordance with the following scale which is based on the date on which you complete your training programme and your last day of employment I was still in my initial training phase when I left so I assumed I wouldn't have to pay anything as my training wasn't complete. The amount repayable was £5000 up until end of 12 months after completion. I then received a letter from Centrica Collections containing different wording to my contract. They were telling me I would need to pay back a fee of £6000 once I completed an 8 week training programme, like I said that was not mentioned at all in my training bond. I went back and forth with Centrica arguing that the wording was different and so was the amount. This continued for a few months and I never heard anything after 24/12/2022. Fast forward to 01/11/2023 and I receive 2 letters from CST Law one dated 9th Oct asking for £5000 to be paid by 23rd Oct. Another letter dated 17th Oct asking for £5000 to be paid in 7 days. I went on google for some advice and found a "Prove it" letter I sent that the next day. I then received another letter on Nov 6th dated 27th Oct threatening me with possible legal action if not paid within 7 days. As well as all this I was receiving text messages and calls from CST Law asking me to call them urgently. My argument was that the contract did not define Initial Training as 8 weeks at a training centre. I was still in stage 1 of training out of a total of 3 stages I believed I hadn't completed my training programme. Im just looking for some advice now, from what I've seen I need to wait for a letter of claim but ive seen that some people have received that without realising? Thanks for any help JM91
