Hi, sorry if already answered, I have checked the FAQ and the various boards, but it is unclear to me as to the costs for asking for statements etc.

I am about to send off a letter to request the last 6 years statements, within the DPA disclosure request.

Am I right in thinking the will charge me £5 for the statments (in total) and £10 for the DPA disclosure?

Thanks and apologies again if I have asked an obvious/previous asked question

With regards to your statements i believe they can charge what they want(pls someone correct me if i'm wrong) but with the DPA request which is data that is held about yo,u is not necessarily in a form of a statement and most prob a print out and the maximum they can charge for a DPA request is £10.

Hope that clears things up.

PS be sure to get the DPA request not statements as the dpa request will show all notes held about you, including any manual input from the staff when issuing your charges.

The bank says it takes two people to decide whether or not to pay your eg direct debit, but we know it doesnt and its automated system.

Yes Natasha is right - you want details of all charges and notes of manual intervention. It is easier for you than ploughing through 6 years of statements.

The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.
