  1. There is one agency that i am aware off and worked with once upon a time, that pays alittle extra per hour that encludes the holiday pay, so when it comes to taking a holiday, there don't pay you for that period, as you have already been paid it in the hourly rate.
  2. I'm such a good lad, i've kept all my paperwork relating to tax creds i get, for the period 2004/2005 award there took my earnings for 2003/2004 into account. Any reward that i might get, is based on the year befores earnings and amended as per any changes notified to them. I have a mountain of paperwork from the tax cred offices, why there send out 3 or more of the same letter beats me. If you gave 2001/02 income for year 2003/4 then ur earnings would have been less than you were getting, and would have been amended upon the next assessment, failing that, when you got ur reward notice, you noticed the mistake, why didnt you contact them with the correct years figures?
  3. What did paypal and ebay have to say on this matter, were there involved in this. If so, and you claimed through paypal, there should have refunded the money and there chase the seller for it afterwards. if the item was damaged then you should have opened a dispute with ebay and paypal, and it might not have taken court action, i'm not sure of the cirmcumstances, but the 1st port of call would have been paypal etc. As 101 has said, the opition of using a bailiff might be the next port of call, did'nt you ask the courts to award compo for the item? Food for thought, have you tryed to send a empty package addressed to him only, wheres he needs to sign and only him, to the address he lives at, then when he signs you will know he lives there, abit crafty but least you will know.
  4. Good luck with the new Cat, i love them, since your mam has owned the cat since Aug (4 mths) and the full amount has been paid, which there are recipts to show, the cat belongs to your mum, the seller asking for the cat back, might be seeked due to a illness or something similar, i'd be proned to ask why shes seeking the cat back? Your mam as now grown fond of the new cat, hence why should she give her back to the seller, moneys exchanged hands, for goods/pet so keep the cat. ask the seller for the papers for the cat in writing, for any furture ref. If the seller doesn't cash the cheque thats there fault.
  5. You won't wanna live where i live in the city of Birmingham, but guess the rents here a way way way lower than where you live? i used to pay £312.46 per month for a one bed housing assocation flat, i now have my own place ( buying ) but the rents here in Brum are quite low dependant on the area.
  6. Yes Tiglet i've just this minute come off the phone with the tax cred help line, and u are correct, NOT everyone is entitled to the exemption card, when i saw winos message, i thought something was amiss, so rang to get my concerns confirmed, as myself claims working tax creds, not enough mind, i only get pennies per month, but every bit helps i guess, but i am NOT entitled to the exemption card as i only claim working tax creds. Shame really as i've spent well over £2.600 on dental work in the past 2 years. Unsure of what you might be able to claim on top of any Tax Creds see www.hmrc.gov.uk Thax for ur comfirmation too Tiglet.
  7. Sorry wino, are you trying to say people claiming working tax credit get free dentist treatment etc? if so can i pm you
  8. I would suggest you make contact if possible by visiting the local office in your area, or in writing, get the currant over payments stopped before the sum gets any higher, u are aware that this money isnt what ur entitled to, and the council will expect repayment of this money, it would be alot easier for you in the long run, to repay the money and get confirmation that you are no longer registered for benefits at ur old brough. Putting the money in another account might lead you to temptation, and end up spending it, which will leave you facing many hundereds of pounds to find once there ask for it back. One question since you are getting the rent benefits placed into ur bank account, i'm guessing it didnt get paid direct to ur landlord, what was you renting a mansion. as £600.00 per month for rent seems quite high? and you come across as been a single person, so guess you rented a flat?
  9. I'll dig my old forms and declarations out, think i started claiming working tax creds that year, but wil confirm once dug em out.
  10. Cashing the pension in won't give u much in value, can you not move it across to ur currant employers, or just leave it till u reach the ripe old age of retirment. Pensions are joined for the long run to cover ur old age, u could write to the pension company, and ask what value it holds, then take things from there. But be wise, u have paid into it for 10 years, think of the little extra income it might give you come ur retirment.
  11. Is it me or am i missing something here, your asking thread users to assist you from not getting banned from the roads due to your reckless speeding, knowing this is not your 1st offence, as admitted by yourself, taking you off the road, would hopefully help you take more care when you do get your licence back, My sister aged 24 years was knocked down and killed back in 1998 by a speeding driver, so please don't expect any tears from me to you. There have been too many children and adults losing there lifes due to speeding drivers, and still people drive to excess, just to save a few minutes on there journey. Knowing you had already totted up 9 points, should have deterred you from doing such, you didnt heed them lessons, and now is worrying about been banned, personnally i hope the judge takes yet another speeder from our already hetic roads. You state you have a child of your own, so in hind sight you should know what speeding drivers are capable of, yet you are one of those that could take a innocent life. SPEEDING DOES KILL..............................
  12. You state you do not think you will be able to make the next loan repayment? You either can or can't ? Contacting them two days before payment is to be taken from your account doesnt leave much scope for them to arrange anything. Is the payment paid via direct debit ? if so stop the payment at your bank by cancelling the DD otherwise if it does bounce, you will be charged from the bank aswell as the finance company ( although two days before payment is due might be too late ). Restart the DD before the next payment is due, but take in mind, that cancelling the DD might occurr charges at the finance company, like you have been informed. Your loan agreement will inform you of any charges that might become payable if a payment is missed or returned by the bank. Can you not ask your bank for a agreed overdraft for a limited period, untill you are back on your feet, even enough to cover the loan payment. Are you missing the payment, due to sickness from work, or unemployment? Your insurance cover would make the loan payments untill you are fit to return or find work. To save missing the payment and getting charges added, can you not ask a family member for assistance to cover this payment.
  13. Since your uncle has now left the property, you should be classed as a NEW customer, hence no mac code should be required i would guess. But failing that BT can do a search and obtain the code for you, this might take time but there can find it. Try there website which shows commercial link removed even better if ur uncle can inform u who his last provider was then u can contact them direct for the code.
  14. HEHEhehe Demon sent you some mad pills mine are stronger. You most likly got mixed with one posted Parcel delivered. Not here and someone forged my signature posting found under parcelforce threads.
  15. Have signed the petition, lets hope it helps getting the tax/vat charges etc lowered by the goverment, but knowing Gorden Brown, he will see pound signs to boast his coffers than help the already heavly drained driver. He predicted his currant charges/increases on the price of a barrel of oil at a lower price than the oil is at the moment, since the price of oil has rocketed this last month or so, this has earned the goverment millions every week in extra cash. This should now be passed onto the driver, but i'm not holding much hope.
  16. Internal interviews between the driver and his company will not become known to you or any other person, this would fall within the data protection act, that is between the driver and company. Lets say when the driver tryed to deliver the item, a neighbour said there would sign for it, the driver said okay and thought nothing more of it. Neighbour gets new laptop, driver gets into trouble. Or what if someone was in ur garden at the time of delivery, and that person signed for it, the driver wouldn't know if it was for them or not, ANYONE could have signed for this item, There are loads of ways this can be looked at, and most not the drivers fault, he had a item on his round to deliver at ur address, he did this. Its not really his fault the item has now been stolen. The delivery company have insurances for such happenings, hence i would think the claim lays at the delivery company. But it would be hard to prove or indicate that the driver is involved in this act.
  17. The editors choice can be returned, there are sent on 10 days approval, more dependent on the company, if you have decided not to take them, then just return them (should have a return free post address enclosed) , within the time period and no money should be due. At the same time, send a letter stating that the account had been closed (give date closed) and state that this is another written request that the account be closed, and no further books be sent. I often send off for promo items, then cancel once there go full price, without problems, it might be your 1st request to cancel got lost or mis-placed, so sending another closure letter might do the trick. But send the books back, or you will most likly be charged.
  18. Its really is a shame that this delivery hasn't been performed as to ur requirements, as the earlier posts point out, claiming for such a item will prove hard, this could/should prove to other persons thinking of sending items, to possiblely take photos of the item and packaging, perior to dispatching in the event of such claims. Or better still to arrange personnel collection (buyer collects) or delivery (seller delivers) to lesson such damage to both seller and buyer. Yes parcelforce have means to insure items of great value, however looking it from there point of view, without such proof from the sender, showing the item wasn't damaged before been packaged, how do parcelforce know that the item wasn't sent damaged? Sad as it is to you, and the loss of the money that you now need to refund to the buyer, once you get the damaged item back, you might be able to use some or most of the parts to rebuild the computer, and in time resell to another buyer.
  19. In ur thread you mantioned that ur partners visa card is registered at his parents address, and that he tryed to get a phone at ur new address, since the card isn't registered at ur new address, this would show when a check is done, hence ur partner won't show at the new address, unless hes on the voters role, etc. Having no loans or other credit, is just as bad as having loads, when it comes to checks, some will lend on bad credit some won't. Your partner needs to get all his visa cards and other items of need, registered at your new address, otherwise it will be hard to obtain things such as phones/credit, unless he gave his mothers address all the time, which could look mis-leading to lenders etc if some things are at his mothers, and some at your new house. As for the credit check, request this in writing to the credit ref agencys, but ur partner will have to give his mothers address and his new one, and any other he has lived at during the last 3-6 years, this cost less than if you did it on-line, currantly £2 per request. Bad credit at your address, will show towards the last tenants name, its very seldom it goes on the address, but the person/persons whom lived there before. Food for thought, wouldn't it be easier for your man to get a pay as you go phone, that way he can see what he spends on calls/texts without been tied to a 12/18 mths contract.
  20. Hi if the seller lets you pay by another method that might be the best opition for now, least the seller will get paid and you will get ur winning item, as for PP u will have to show presistance towards them, to get the matter resolved, other users in the E.Bay chat forum might be able to assist you in getting PP to act more quickly, so it might be worth just asking there aswell as ere. Thankfully i've not encountered any probs with them in many years service, guess i'm lucky compared to some threads i've read on ere . Just contact the seller and explain you require to pay by other means, ie cheque or money transferr, but do be aware you will not be covered by PPs money back claim should anything go wrong.
  21. Sorry to hear about ur mis-futunes. just for safety reasons, get the ring insured under your home contents, hence should you lose a diamond and cant find it, least you can claim for it through the home insurance. As for the shop H samual, take a look at there terms and conditions. also write to there head office explaining the problem, you have tryed at the local high street shop for repair or replacement, now go to the top of the chain, and formllay complain to the head office. But my best bit of advice is to get it covered by extra home contents insurance. this might only cost a few extra quid per month, but could be the best few quid you ever spend.
  22. ITs a NO vote for me too, i think we are monitored like big brother as it is. We are no longer allowed to go about our daily business without been watched or others knowing what we have done, i buy shopping next i get leaflets about other products comming through my door, hence supermarkets must have sold name etc to other partys, hence i have NO supermarket loyality cards now.. i apply for insurance, next other insurance companys start writing to me, why because my data has been sold to them. The BIG brother is watching you, is far becomming out of control, our freedom of movement is watched, our buying ways are monitored, everything is monitored. Yes credit checks have to be made, for certain things, but surely not everything.
  23. Ask yourself the same question, if it were your hotel and someone cancelled the day b4 arrival, would you give them a full refund? think you have found your answer havn't you. Hotels and B&Bs have various over heads, which when someone cancels, refunds are rarely given, have you read the hotels T&Cs on the matter. Did you not take any insurance out in the of chance of the gig been cancelled, with many acts cancelling dates alate, it would make sense, or can you not claim the cost from any of your personnel insurances? As Buzby pointed out, ringing to cancel the night b4, gave zero chance of the room been re-let, hence the hotel would have lost money if there refunded you, which if there did that for every1 i'd think thered go bust b4 too long.
  24. Very complicated issues you have stated, if you can't use your union for reasons you state, then try Acas website whom might be able to assit you further.
  25. Every1 knows that bills are to be paid, if no bill arrives then it is up to the person whom rents or owns the property to seek such, not just leave it in the hope there will get one in due course, then when there do, expect massive reductions, just because its taken some time to get. Leaving/waiting for a bill for one year let alone 6 years is just plain stupid in my mind, and the person deserves the big bill there get, why didnt there put something aside each month to cover such, nothing is free, no point crying once the horse has bolted. The electric was used for 6 years, therefore the dues are due. If i had a penny for every story ive heard saying its not my fault i would be able to retire by now. I'll most likly get bad press for my reply, but as adults we know things are not right when bills don't come, and commen sense should kick in and chase the matter untill sorted, not leave for year after year. Its always the easy opition to take by saying, i'll leave it up to them to sort, then start crying when hit with a huge bill, and then expect people to assist them in getting away without paying. Yes i'm a out spoken person, but come on commen sense would have avoided this mess.
