Hi all,

A couple of years ago you helped me get a couple of Lloyds accounts sorted so one in in dispute and the other two are on payment plans. (I've had to re register as I couldn't remember log in details)

The two on payment plans arranged with Lloyds have been getting paid each month at the reduced amount and never been missed but out of the blue I've had a letter from Marlin saying they now own one of the accounts and I've to deal with them and not Lloyds.

Has anyone had this before and can they do this?

I am in Scotland just in case that makes any difference

Thanks in advance

Hello voyager,

Lloyds can sell the account at any time they want, even if a payment plan is in place.

Probably not being cleared quick enough so they off load it from their books.

Common occurrence.

Any Letters I Draft are N0T approved by CAG and no personal liability is accepted.

I just found it strange how it happened out of the blue and I had heard nothing from Lloyds.

Notice of assignment can come from creditor and or debt purchaser, just a weeding out of delinquent accounts,

Has Marlin given you payment details if not continue paying Lloyds.

They want me to set up payments with them but I haven't yet until I did some checking on who they were.

I've just found another thread that's similar to my problem and it was suggested sending a CCA and a SAR. Is this worth doing in my situation or is it best just to make arrangements with them?

Thanks again

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I expect you have been through these processes before but even if not liability has already been admitted by paying Lloyds.

If only to out Marlin to the test a CCA request is worth a pound.

I've never sent a CCA for this account or SAR for any account.

May well be worth the £1 for a CCA to Marlin use the template from the CAG library.
