thats great..its given me a lift to read it.

i was retired when i took out this loan....so in fact it didn't cover me at all.

i have been reading that is you are unemployed or self employed or retired the insurance wouldn't cover anyway..but im not hundred per cent sure..they are so slippery.

i have been trying to get bank charges back this year and have now taken my complaint to the ombudsman

at the time i wish id known about the ppi i could have added it to the list of complaints.

thank you so much for your reply ..i was feeling a bit left out :)

Hello Alm,

You have an extremely good case for the mis-selling of ppi, as you could never have used it.

The FOS might not be interested in the ppi bit as the loan was taken out in 2003.

Personally I would just write directly to Lloydds, stating your reasons of mis-selling and ask for it back.plus interest at their contractual rate

If you need help with letters etc, just ask.

They will pay it back

thanks

i feel a bit despondent after reading the loan protection on their web site..as it talks about hospitalization compensation if you are retired..if hospitalized..???

however i do know that i thought i must take this insurance the girl who arranged the loan never asked me just ticked the box..she filled out the form posted it to me...i signed it and sent it back..

the other thing is that i live abroad and was living most of the time abroad then..which lloyds knew about..i never hid that from them..so even if i was ill and in hospital here they wouldn't have paid me here outside the uk.

what do you think.??
