Can anyone help. I purchased my car back in February 2006. At the time I was told that I needed PPi as the car was for a large amount and that it would cover me if there were any problems with work or my health. I do believe that i filled in a questionnaire to say that i didnt have any alternative ppi cover and from that they suggested to PPi protection which i signed for. I felt a bit pressured into it at the time and now know from reading the forus that I dont need it. I have an excellent health PPi through work. I have already paid £17 per month for the PPi so far.The ppi is a monthly payment PPi and not a single payment policy. The PPi was organised through the car showroom. I have wrote to them to ask for the original ppi document as i never received one. It says that i can cancel the policy with 30 days notice. If i write to cancel will i get a refund of any payments, if not should i claim for mis selling. Not sure what to do?????

What is your basis for them mis-selling? You cant say "actually, I already had PPI", the sellers of it did not know that unless you brought it to their attention, and indeed you were effectively asked the question outright when you signed.

I was told that I would have to have the PPI as it was quite a large amount. It was made out to me as though this was part of the deal. Also I have never received any correspondence with regards to the ppi. I never got anything with regards to the terms and conditions of the PPI. Surely i should receive this ????

Well it is changed from "suggested" to "told" in two short posts - which is it?
