:D Top of the morning to you Mrs Standing!! Hope all is good with you. Thought i'd have an early morning cruise! MBNA are 1 of my 2 main areas of focus at the moment so keeping an eye out for useful info.

Quick question: i came across an old Abbey visa card statement which i think went to MBNA just before the account closed. Who would i S.A.R?

Hope you don't mind me asking on your thread - i've just posted on mine and can't be bothered to go back!!

Catch ya later alligator ;)

Morning Hopie, how are you... you sound cheerful today. All is wonderful here at Standing Mansion thank you very much xxx :D

My account was initially Abbey, in fact the statements still come through with Abbey on it, but I Sar'd MBNA. I think I just put Abbey National in brackets....

Hi,

does anyone have a brief description of claim for CCI non compliance. (I seem to remember seeing one somewhere). Been moving (with no home internet access) for another week  so a bit harder to track.

thx

  • Barclaycard (2 Accounts) CCA sent to both on 20.5.07 (defaulted)
  • MBNA CCA defaulted 14.6.07 (Claim £2600)
  • Capital one: Reject offer LBA 18.6.07
  • HSBC/Metropolitan/DG Solicitors: Credit agreement not found by DG Solicitors. Sent new CCA to Metropolitan 18.6.07 with original timeline 18th May 2007.

  • 1 month later...

No update whatsoever...... I was initially pointed in this direction by some knowledgable listers, but although I would dearly love to see this through, I don't beleive that I have enough to go on, it is a shame as I appear to be the only person (I think) who has written admission that MBNA have not, and can not provide a true executed copy of my CCA.

I wrote to MBNA on several occasions regarding this matter, stating the amount of interest they charged me, I threatened court action and MBNA point blank refused to enter into any form of correspondance with me.

I would love to take this further, but do not feel qualified to do so,

Thank you for your interest though xx

Standing, I have had a letter from MBNA saying they can't find agreement - five months ago - and Abbey are still thinking about it, but about to go the same way. I was quite happy to lose the debts as what remains is interest and charges only, but I would not have gone further as you were thinking about (and I know others have been too). For me it was a victory not being hounded anymore - by them anyway. I share your hesitation about going further - I couldn't afford to take them on. I am quite happy to let sleeping dogs lie.

It was a good idea though.;)
